California Fair Housing Fundamentals

This 3-hour course, covering both California and federal fair housing laws, is a must for new employees and a great update for the veterans on your team. It contains ten modules (plus quizzes) developed by the KTS experts in California and federal fair housing. Its interactive style makes learning fun and helps retention. Upon successful completion, a certificate can be printed. Some of the key issues include the 13 protected classes, laws and enforcement; all aspects of disability, from hoarding, companion animals and parking, to mental disabilities; fair housing in the marketing and leasing process; resident selection; establishing rental criteria and community policies; termination of tenancy and many other practical day-to-day applications of fair housing in California. This course is $59 per person.

Fair Housing for Maintenance Personnel

This course covers both California and federal fair housing laws, is a must for maintenance personnel, technicians, porters and groundskeepers on residential rental property in California. There will be a quiz taken at the end of the course. Upon successful completion, a certificate can be printed. Some of the key issues include the California and federal protected classes, disability requests relating to parking and assistance animals, maintenance team policies, maintenance requests, standardized response to an emergency and non-emergency, do’s and don’ts in handling the maintenance visit, recognizing &; avoiding sexual harassment, record keeping and other Fair Housing guidance. This course is $59 per person.
