We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our San Diego office is looking for a Human Resources Associate to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing high-touch support to our department and all firm employees statewide across various Human Resources functional areas.

  • Support recruitment by creating and maintaining job postings, managing recruitment spreadsheet, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, drafting offer letters, and submitting background checks
  • Learn and perform recruitment on selected positions on a limited basis as needed based on hiring volume and department workload
  • Support the department in processing new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Perform semi-monthly audits of payroll forms and employee timecards to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Assign, track, and ensure the completion of required harassment prevention training by employees
  • Support performance management by tracking, assigning, and following up on employee performance reviews
  • Perform routine scanning and filing of employee records and payroll forms
  • Respond to questions and requests of limited complexity from management and employees with an emphasis on customer service
  • Create the firm’s monthly internal employee newsletter
  • Support employee engagement event coordination
  • Assist with facilities management by managing employee access cards, responding to facilities-related requests from employees, submitting maintenance requests, and communicating with building management
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties as needed in support of the department


We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience in human resources or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong critical thinking skills and situational awareness

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Recruitment experience
  • Experience working in Human Resources Information Systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Publisher


Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid in-office/remote work model in accordance with our COVID-19 Temporary Remote Work Policy. New hire employees will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in person and in-office as deemed necessary for the position before a possible transition to a hybrid schedule under this policy, subject to approval by their supervisor.
