We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our firm is looking for a Staff Accountant II to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for assisting the Accounting department in various accounting functions which support our firm including treasury management, general ledger, and financial variance reporting/budgeting.

Compensation:
$32.00/hr to $37.00/hr (DOE) + benefits
Responsibilities:
High volume position that focuses on GL bank reconciliation, reports, budgeting, account analysis, month-end adjustments, and special/seasonal projects as assigned. Reliable attendance, where work is performed and completed at a KTS office, is required. Flexible working arrangements are negotiable.
Treasury Management -Online Banking, Credit Card/ACH postings and Wire Transfers: Daily review and audit of Credit Card, ACH, Wire transactions and account Chargebacks to the Main Concentration, Operation and Trust Accounts and balance Transfer Holding Account transfers. Postings of client payments and chargebacks via Credit Card, ACH and Wire.
General Ledger /Month End entries/Account Analysis/Maintain Supporting GL Records: Bank account reconciliations, coordinate/review submission of bank statements and GL transaction to Indevia, month-end journal entries, review and post inter-departmental billing transactions, reconciliation and posting of merchant fees and account analysis of benefits accounts and specified balance sheet accounts. Maintain and scan files of supporting bank documents and general ledger records. [Maintains Asset Tracking Software reporting and assist contracted CPA with Business Property Statements.]
Financial Variance Reporting/Budgeting: Monthly variance reporting of actual vs budget and non-budgeted memos to managing partners. Assist in annual budgeting-forecasting, responsible for compiling reports for specified departments on actual expenditures on an annual basis.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Excel
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
- High-volume typing or data entry skills with low error rate
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Versatile computer skills
- Strong communication skills
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Previous experience in a law firm environment
Schedule:
Position is full-time, onsite at 40 hours/week. Schedule is 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
