Online Course: Hoarding

This hour-long course is designed to help you cope with the growing problem of hoarding by residents on your property. Because hoarding is considered to be a disability, taking the wrong action when the situation arises can easily turn into a costly fair housing complaint. More complaints are filed in California based on disability than any other protected class so having a good understanding of hoarding and knowing how to handle it can be a win-win situation for everyone.

This interactive course will take you through the who’s, what’s, how’s and why’s of hoarding and provides you with useful tools to help manage the difficult situation you may be experiencing now, or surely will experience in the future. You’ll learn about the risks hoarding poses to the resident, property and other residents, and find out how to zero in on the most critical risks that must be reduced by the person with the hoarding disability. And lastly, of course, what happens if nothing seems to resolve the problem.
