As a valued client, we will continue to keep you apprised of court closures, moratoriums on evictions, and “shelter in place” orders that may adversely affect new and pending court filings. Please note “shelter in place” orders may prohibit our attorneys and staff from working within any of our five office locations.
In the meantime, we will be able to answer your legal questions, take in new unlawful detainer, collection, fair housing, and general civil litigation cases, conduct lease and document reviews, transactions, and meet your estate planning needs. Our education department will also be available for our online continuing education courses. Please consult our website www.kts-law.com for future updates on the status of court closures, Sheriff offices and trial delays/restrictions. Changes are taking place daily.

The following counties have temporarily closed their courts or have limited court hours/operations. As a result, unlawful detainer trials will be postponed and defaults will not be processed. We will continue to process any new cases for our clients and can file them as soon as courts re-open.
Unlawful Detainer Trials
Unlawful detainer trials have statutory priority over the courts’ calendars. Unless the particular court where your matter is being heard is closed, we will continue to proceed with unlawful detainer trials. Courts that are remaining open have begun to limit jurors summons and any Unlawful Detainer trial with a jury demand may be continued at the court’s discretion.

Our collection department will continue to operate as usual and can continue to process new cases. We may be temporarily limited in our ability to process bank levies, wage garnishments or utilize other court related collection procedures during court closures.
Although there is a “shelter in place” order impacting all counties in California, attorneys and staff are working remotely and we are still available to assist clients via email at email@example.com.
