Landlords may be able to protect themselves by being proactive in trying to find errors in their business practices prior to having the Department of Real Estate involved. If a company is able to determine where a mistake is being made, they can take action to fix the hole in their procedure which may help to avoid or reduce potential liability. Even if you have been a member for years or even decades, you may learn something new during this session.
